Day 1:
Transfer to Rapallo using your own transportation in the late morning and begin the foodie experience. This experience will uncover the secrets of Ligurian flavors with a visit to a fresh pasta artisan in the historic center of Rapallo, followed by a visit to a focacceria where you will observe the preparation of the cheese focaccia!
After a tasting of Vermentino, you will visit a shop to watch the preparation of pesto using a mortar and enjoy a comparative tasting of extra virgin olive oil, traditional cheeses, and cured meats from the Ligurian Apennines, along with traditional sweets.
To conclude the day, you will meet a local tour guide and embark on a boat for an excursion to Portofino.
Arriving in Portofino by boat, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Portofino Promontory and be enchanted by the beauty of this chic yet wild village. A guided walk in Portofino will take you through the famous “Piazzetta,” elegant boutiques, and shops, leading to the Church of San Giorgio and the renowned Castello Brown, an ancient military fortress offering breathtaking views of the entire Gulf.
In the late afternoon, you will return to Santa Margherita or Rapallo by boat.
Day 2:
Recognized as part of the UNESCO World Heritage Environmental and Cultural list, the Cinque Terre offers unique environmental and cultural characteristics: cliffs plunging into the sea with coves and small beaches, thousands of kilometers of dry stone walls, medieval villages, sanctuaries, and panoramic trails along the sea and slopes.
We will visit them by boat starting from La Spezia to enjoy the fantastic scenery.
Transfer by bus to La Spezia. Meet a local tour guide and board the boat for a transfer to Riomaggiore (or Manarola).
Stop for a visit to the medieval village, then continue by boat to Monterosso for lunch at a restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will have free time for individual visits before returning to La Spezia with your own means of transportation.
Day 3:
Excursion to the Abbey of San Fruttuoso in Camogli.
Transfer by your own transportation to Santa Margherita Ligure.
Accompanied by a naturalist guide, you will walk through the beautiful environments of the Portofino Park to reach the stunning village of San Fruttuoso in Camogli, home to the abbey of the same name. This is a truly unique place, owned by the FAI (Italian Environment Fund).
Entrance and guided visit included.
Afterwards, you will have some free time before returning to Santa Margherita Ligure or Rapallo by boat.
